“Are you a big birthday person?” Who am I not to be a big birthday person? I mean, how could I not celebrate yet another year that I get to spend on this Earth. Another year to manifest being filled with blessings, love, happiness and inner peace? Sign me up. [Plus, if you know me, you know I’m not one to shy away from festivities–especially those in my honor!]

Each time that this day rolls around, I sit to write these posts and reflect on the year that has passed as well as the one that lays ahead. This birthday in particular, in many ways, represents a new chapter.

For those of you who have been following along on Instagram, you know that after calling West Village my home for the last 4 years, it’s time to turn a new leaf. Don’t get me wrong, I had the best ride in West Village. I mean, I saw Sarah Jessica Parker filming And Just Like That on my Friday afternoon walk - if you know me, you know that it truly doesn’t get any better than that! But, keeping it real with you as always, the neighborhood demo has changed quite dramatically since I first moved in 2019 [TikTok can tell you what it's more akin to now], as well as the price of rent. So where to, you ask?

My adventures, as of yesterday, bring C & I not too far from our old apartment, and back to “home” as I always knew it–Brooklyn! We are now officially Cobble Hill residents. [And in true sitcom fashion, we live 2 blocks away from 2 dear friends!]

In many ways, this transition does feel novel but it simultaneously feels familiar, reminding me of the places, spaces and faces that were so commonplace to me growing up. So it kind of feels like a homecoming to be returning to the borough that raised me.

I couldn’t be more excited to make new memories here, be even closer to my family, and, of course, share Brooklyn with C [it’s his first time living here]. Here’s to a new chapter- one filled with new adventures and more of the things that fill my cup [and less of those that don’t].
