This weekend, I took a quick trip to Cambridge for the reunion of the Summer Venture in Management Program (SVMP)-yes the same program about which I spoke in my first post.  I always forget how much I love Cambridge. Something about the cobblestone streets and deep ivy brick is just so charming. Truthfully, this trip almost didn't happen (long story short: airbnb struggles), but last minute we were able to book a cute 3rd floor walk up, and I found myself on a Megabus on my way to Cambridge.

Besides being back on Harvard’s beautiful campus and sitting in class with my all time favorite HBS professor Anita Elberse (follow her on IG; you’ll catch photos with Queen Bey, Dwyane Wade, and any other cool person on the reg), I saw my amazing friends who I met for the first time at SVMP. Actually, it was at the very same dinner in which we joined the newest SVMP class that we first met last year. And we’ve been making memories ever since. We often get asked if we had known each other before SVMP, and, truthfully, sometimes it feels like we did. [I’ll save my ‘I believe the people we love we have loved in lifetimes before’ spiel for another time].

I didn't realize until about halfway through the weekend that it was exactly a year ago that I heard the speech that inspired me to start this blog, and that I launched leave a little sparkle only to travel to Cambridge once more. [Talk about full circle?] Don’t worry-no more launches in the pipeline...well at least not for one more year ;)

So it seems only fitting to end this post by mentioning our reunion keynote speaker, Calvin Young III, who very quickly into his speech echoed the same exact thoughts Casey shared last year that brought about leave a little sparkle. I’ll leave you with a quote he passed on to us:

“If people aren’t laughing at your dreams...then they aren’t big enough”- Grayson Marshall

In all, beautiful city, beautiful campus, and even more beautiful people with whom I shared a fabulous weekend.
